  Full Results More Photos On a near perfect day of sun and light breeze, over 300 athletes from different age groups representing their LSCs met in Pleasant Prairie to race in the inaugural Central Zone Open Water Championships.  The 15 & Overs raced a 3 lap 5 KM course.  Five SSTY swimmers were on Team Wisconsin and had a good race for about 1 hour. Masters Team Swimmer and former UW-M Panther streaked to a 23.2 in the 50 M free at the prelims of the Western Great Lakes Open.  The time would have qualified Jake for last year's Olympic Trials and this year's USA National going on in Indianpolis, IN right now.  Kalinowski has qualified for the US Open later in August in Irvine, CA.  Way to go Jake better get some vacation time set!

Cassandra raced the 1500 at the 2013 Phillips 66 USA National Championships/World Championship Trials and recorded a time of 16:52.37 which established a new 15/16 age group Wisconsin State record as well as a new team record. After chilling down she'll drive back to Wisconsin to lead Schroeder's contingent of open water athletes at the 2013 Central Zone Open Water Championship at lake Andrea in Pleasant Prairie.
