  Nick Petersen had a good prelim in the 100 back, just off his best at 58.6 this morning, Alex raced the 200 M Free and made it back in the C Final and swam under 2:05 again recording a 2:04.9.  Tomorrow is the last day of the 2012 Junior meet.  Nick will race the 200 IM and Abi and Alex race the 50 M Free to conclude a successful 2012 summer!

Alex raced the 100 M Free in the A Final tonight and recorded a 56.90 good for 6th place.  Abi raced in prelims and went 59.57 and Nick was 52.77 also in the 100 M Free.  Nick also came right back and swam the 200 M Back.  Tomorrow, Nick will race the 100 M Fly and Abi will time trial the 100 M Free.

The 2012 USA Junior National Championships began today in Indianapolis, IN.  First up was Cassy Jernberg in the 800 M Free.  Cassandra closed out an amazing summer season with a 9:02.40 - just off her time from the 13 & Over State meet a week ago which should be about 30th.  Congrats Cassy!   Tomorrow, Nick, Abigail and Alex all race the 100 free and Nick also goes the 200 back.

Cassy raced the mile in a State and Team record time 17:03.61  She got moved into the evening final and raced with the top athletes and held her own.  Earlier at prelims, Alex raced the 50 free and recorded a new best at 26.52.  The US Open ends tonight and Schroeder has a day off as we transition to the USA Junior Championship.

Alex swim to a 2:04.46 narrowly missing the C Final but improving her rank by nearly ten spots.  Later in Prelims Adam swam the 100 M Back.  He won his heat in a controled effort and is the 7th seed for tonight's final.  The men will finish the session with the 4 x 100 M.R.  The order will be Adam, Chris Meyers, Nick Petersen and Carl Newenhouse.  The team is seeded in the A final

Schroeder finished in 8th place in the medley relay with 3:49.95. Adam came right out of the back 55.15 and went 55.70 for a great double, Chris had the fastest breast stroke split in the last three years with a 1:06.65, Nick went 56.28 and Carl anchored with a gentleman's 51.32 to out touch the Badgers.

  Carl swam to a new personal best this morning at the US Open in the 200 M Back.  Carl's time was 2:03.76 and he will be in the C Final tonight.  Also, Carl will have to turn right around and swim the third leg of the 4 x 100 M Free Relay with teammates Nick Petersen, Adam Mania and Kevin Ewald as the anchor.

Excellent relay tonight! The men finished 7th and on the podium with a very fine time of 3:26.6. Nick led off with 52.6, Adam was 49.9 Carl came right out of the 200 back and with 25 min produced 51.8 and Kevin anchored with a 52.2. Schroeder enjoys a day off tomorrow before racing on Saturday.

  Alex finished tied for 23rd just .01 behind here record setting effort in prelims at 56.89.  Great swim again!  Alex was out about a tenth slower but finished stronger.  Tomorrow, Carl races the 200 M Back and the Men have the 4 x 100 FR at night. Jrs Psych posted
