For years Shorewood's summer meet has been an important meet just as school is winding down and this year was no different. Great swims from all segments of the team! Kaylyn swam a super 400 just before her 11th birthday which wasfast enough to break the WI State Record in the event for 10 U girls. Congrats! 4:54.61 was the time. Minutes later Mason broke Mark Gwidt's team record in the 400 free with 4:29.26...great swimming!
Schroeder's favorite globetrotting triathlete, Gwen has taken 4 starts in the ITU World Triathlon Series. Her first outing was a DNF in Auckland, NZ as she was a little sick coming into the race. She won back to back races in San Diego and then Yokohama, Japan. This past weekend she came fourth in Madrid, ESP which has her still first in overall series points and the number one female in the World. Cassandra Jernberg tied with Beata Nelson for Female Age Group Swimmer of the year and Nick Petersen was named Male Senior swimmer of the year for WI Swimming, Inc. Congrats! Eric Jernberg was also nominated for his work with Cassandra and others as Sr Coach of the Year. read more
Hello Masters!! I hope that everybody had a great Memorial Day weekend and is ready for another great week. Splash & Dash Saturday morning was the annual Splash & Dash and it was a great event! I want to thank Dave Diamond and Dave Anderson for helping put on the event.
